Obituary For Rosie L. Gallaspy
Mrs. Rosie Lee Gallaspy, 75, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 11:05 AM, at her daughter's home in Augusta, GA. She was a member of Greater Apostolic Holy Temple Church in Hephzibah, GA. She was a retired restaurant owner. She was the Chairperson of the Home Missions department for the IL State Council of the Pentecostal Faith of the Apostolic Faith organization. She also served in the capacity of Missionary Chairperson at her home Church in Chicago, IL. She became an Evangelist, Christian Education teacher, Choir President and Choir Director.
Rosie Gallaspy’s legacy will be cherished by a loving husband, Frank O. Gallaspy Sr.; five beautiful children that she adored, Desiree Yvette (Anthony) Huff of Augusta, GA, Jimmie Daniel (Angela) Bowen, Jr of Chicago, IL, Edward Bernard (Jeri) Bowen of Green Bay, WI, David Leonard (Tamisha) Bowen of Chicago, IL , Kimberly Denise (Curtis) McGruder of Apopka, FL.; three bonus children, Sonia “Sandy” Gallaspy, Charlotte Gallaspy, and Frank O. (Velvet) Gallaspy, Jr. “Pistol”; fifteen darling grandchildren, three bonus granddaughters, four precious great granddaughters, and three bonus great grandchildren. She also leaves to cherish her memory three brothers, Limmie (Monica) Perryman, Jimmie (Terry) Perryman, and Fred (Angela) Perryman; six sisters, Shirley (James) Fitchure, Deborah (Ernest) Stanton, Dorothy (Norman) Smith, Ida Pigee, Carolyn (Nelson) Carthen, and Shelia (Ronnie) Rivers. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, God children, and several dear friends.
A celebration of life will be 11:00 AM, Friday, February 10, 2023, at Greater Apostolic Holy Temple (3443 Morgan Road- Hephzibah, GA 30815). Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Cemetery. Public viewing and visitation, 4PM-6PM, Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home, 3618 Peach Orchard Rd, Augusta, GA (706) 790- 8858.
