Obituary For Rudolph Jacobs

A father, a husband, a son, a brother, a mentor, role model, and trendsetter. An inspiration to all of us, a child of God with the spirit of a warrior, always ready to serve our King.

He left an everlasting impact on every heart he touched, and these priceless memories will remain with us for the rest of our lives.

Truly, this is a time to celebrate our loving warrior’s life! Hallelujah!

We remember Rudolph Jacobs, whose spirit departed from us on September 22, 2024, at the age of 67. Jake was born on November 26, 1956, in Wilmington, NC, to Beatrice Jacobs and Joseph Jacobs. After graduating high school, Jake met Rhonda Armstead in 1978 in Mountainview, CA.

They later married and celebrated their union in Wilmington, NC, and together they had three children.

Jake proudly served in the U.S. military for over two decades, retiring as a Master Sergeant in March 2000. His dedication and service earned him the respect of his peers and a lasting legacy in the armed forces. After his military career, Jake attended New Mexico State University, where he became a Gold Core Graduate. He earned both an Associate of Applied Science degree and an Undesignated Associate Degree. A lifelong learner with a passion for both acquiring and sharing knowledge, Jake also received numerous certifications and accolades throughout his life.

Rudolph Jacobs leaves to cherish his memories: Wife Rhonda Jacobs, 2 sisters Glenda Yvonne Keeley, Jacqueline Faye Delts Jacobs; 1 brother Jerry Jacobs; 3 children Korrey Jacobs, Kanisa Jacobs, Karessa Jacobs ("We love you, Dad"); and many friends whose lives he touched deeply.

Guided through heaven by family’s embrace: his brothers Norman “Buddy” Green Jr. and Billy Carnell Jacobs, and his mother Beatrice Jacobs there to lead him home.

In honoring Jake's wishes for a private ceremony, we recognize the outpouring of love and support from his many friends, neighbors, and loved ones. Your love, support, and memories of Jake mean the world to us. Thank you.
