Obituary For Ruth Elizabeth McDaniel - Sullivan

Ruth Elizabeth McDaniel-Sullivan was born on April 2, 1943, in Walterboro, South Carolina, to the late Forest McDaniel and Mary Elizabeth Smith.

Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be remembered for her kind heart, warm spirit, quiet strength, and the genuine love and care she showed to her family. Her presence brought comfort to those around her, and the memories shared with her will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Jimmy Sullivan of 38 years; her children, Cynthia Diana Hoskins-Fitts and Terri Yvonne Mobley-Moore; her son-in-law, Johnathan Moore; her brothers-in-law, John (Pastor Mary L.) Sullivan, and Ronald (Rose) Sullivan, her grandchildren, Terrance Jamal Fitts, Darian Anquan Fitts, Jonquilta Hoskins, Leilani Hoskins, and Rodney Hoskins; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Her son, Louis Hoskins, preceded her in death.

Ruth leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, wisdom, strength, and cherished memories. Though her earthly presence will be deeply missed, the love she gave and the life she lived will continue to live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her.

Family will receive friends from 4 PM to 6 PM Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at the funeral home.

Homegoing service will be 11 AM Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Kinsey & Walton Chapel.
