Shirley Denise Wallace was born on February 9, 1966, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Mr. Willie Wallace and Mrs. Sarah Perry Gaines. While at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Fulton County, Shirley was called home on Friday, March 8, 2024. Shirley stayed fearless in her fight for healing and restoration as she was on the journey of recovery from congested heart failure and her recent heart transplant and surgery on January 2, 2024.
She was a 1984 graduate of Lucy Craft Laney Comprehensive High School. She later received higher education at Augusta Technical College in the field of Industrial Mechanical Systems and as a CNA. Upon retirement, Shirley was a faithful employee of Covidien medical device company in Augusta, GA.
Shirley leaves to cherish her memories, her life partner, Mr. Isaiah Gibbons, her children, Twyla Wallace and Jervon Gibbons; grandchildren, JaZia Noel Wallace and Bobbie Joelle Sledge; mother, Sarah Perry Gaines; sisters, Valerie Williams, and Sonya S. Williams, all of Augusta, GA; brother, Tyrone (Lisa) Wallace, of Winona, MS; Aunts, Flora P. (Percy) Williams, Anita P. Walton, Juanita P. (Minus) Freeman, Doris P. (Ronnie) Jackson, all of Augusta, GA, Barbara JoAnne Wallace Drayton, of Atlanta, GA, Zackqueline Wallace, and Nancy Wallace, both of Boston Massachusetts; Uncles, Handy (Uriel) Perry of Augusta, GA and Kevin (Virda) Perry, of Oxford, GA, a faithful cousin, Wanda Ross of Boston Massachusetts, an animal companion Suga, and a host of God children, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
