Tammie R. Thompson, 59, of Augusta, GA, passed away on November 16, 2024. Born on June 4, 1965, to Charles Thompson Sr. and the late Floria E. Jones, Tammie was a woman of deep love, kindness, and unwavering dedication. A proud graduate of Glenn Hills High School and Troy University, she devoted her life to helping children, especially those often overlooked. Her work in special education, behavioral support, and as a coach touched countless lives. Tammieβs heart was as big as her impact whether guiding students at Cross Creek High School or uplifting her community through the arts and church ministry at The Revive Church. A passionate actress and devoted servant, she was a light to everyone who knew her. Tammieβs legacy of love, compassion, and service will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to be a part of her journey.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Kinsey & Walton Chapel, 3618 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.
Interment will be in Westover Memorial Park, Wheeler Road, Augusta.
