Obituary For Thomas F. Evans

Thomas F. Evans, 60, of Augusta, GA passed on Friday, September 19, 2025, in his residence building. Thomas F. Evans was born to the late Chellie Evans and Fannie (Pratt) Evans on July 24, 1965, in Augusta, GA.

He graduated from Glenn Hills High School. He worked at the Regional Youth Detention Center as a Security Guard. He also worked at the Medical College of Georgia as a Sterile Processing Technician and then he worked at Blair House Nursing Home as a CNA until his health started to decline.

He was a member of Historic First Ebenezer Baptist Church in Hephzibah, GA until he moved his membership to McKinney Branch Baptist Church in Waynesboro, GA. He enjoyed Cooking, Sports, Hanging out with family and friends.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Chellie and Fannie (Pratt) Evans; Siblings: Ray C. Canady, Pauline Owens, Veronica Evans-Clark, Carolyn Evans- Newman

He leaves to cherish his memories: Daughters, A’Ceandra Evans and LeShaunda Hammonds; Grandson, Ky’Ari Hudson; Sister, Ann Johnson; Goddaughter, Queen Adams and a host of nieces and nephews, great nephews and nieces, great-great nieces and nephews and cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will held Friday, October 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Kinsey & Walton Chapel.
