Valeria βValβ Mary Brown, 75, entered into rest, November 30, 2023, in Augusta, GA. She was a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Reverend Dr. Clarence Moore. Valeria graduated from T.W. Josey High School in 1966. She was also a 1971 graduate of Albany State University where she studied Sociology and pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Valeria retired from Georgia Regional Hospital in 2013.
Valeria's legacy will be cherished by her children; Roderick Brown of Atlanta, GA, and Ronzo (Kay) Brown of Orlando, FL; grandchildren; Aeriel Brown and Imari Brown; brother, Kelvin Brooks and sister, Gwendolyn Stallings; nieces, Farrah (Alex) Moore of Augusta, GA and Valeria Stallings of Charlotte, NC; great nieces, Raven Reeves, Alyssa Moore, and Alexis Moore; great nephews, Isaiah Stallings and Elijah Stallings. Valeria was also survived by a host of cousins, other relatives and friends who will truly miss her.
A celebration of life will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Good Shepherd Missionary Baptist Church, 1714 Olive Road, Augusta, GA. Interment will follow in Mount Olive Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Friday, December 8, 2023, at Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home, 3618 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, GA. (706) 790-8858.
