Mr. Willie James Walker was born March 28, 1946, to the late Mother Bell Jackson and the late Walter Walker. Willie James entered into rest Monday, October 7, 2004, in Piedmont Hospital of Augusta, surrounded by his family and friends.
Willie James was a skilled trade agriculture farmer, auto mechanic, wood cutter and gardener for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Willie Mae Harden Walker, son, Kendrick Cordell Walker, Jr., foster daughter, Lorrene Baynham and sister-in-law Emma Harden Kelly.
He leaves to cherish his legacy; daughter, Pamela T. Walker; grandchildren, Thomas B. (Benneisha Young) Griffin, Jr., Jamari C. Williams, Kendrick C. Walker, Jr., Kendricka Walker, Ke'Shonna Walker and Kendell (Alliyah) Walker; three great grandchildren, Delaisha V. Walker, Jayden C. Griffin and Jaxtyn S. Griffin; foster children, Lorraine Chance, Joyce (Christopher) Chance, Johnnie (Shanta) Kelly, Ricky (Juliette) Kelly, Glenn Kelly, Donna (Larry) Peebles, Greg (Nicole) Kelly, Terry (Kerry) Kelly, Emma Barnes; brothers, Roman Lee (Ella Mae) Jackson, Appa Jackson, Isiac Jackson, Joseph (Jubie) Washington; sisters, Rosa Jenkins and Denise Jenkins, Mamie Jackson; brother-in-law, Johnny Lee (Linda) Harden; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 12 noon, Wednesday, October 16, 2024, in Kinsey & Walton Chapel. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, 1179 Ivey Place, Vidette, GA. Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home, 3618 Peach Orchard Road. (706) 790-8858
