Clarissa Ann McClintock, 78, of Caballo, NM, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025. She was born on May 20, 1946, in Lacrosse, Kansas, to Richard Sell and Esther (Bartonek) Hildreth. Growing up, Clarissa spent much of her childhood with her grandparents and cousin on the farm in Western Kansas. She attended high school and college in Wichita, KS.
Clarissa “Chris” worked as a Medical Technologist/Lab Director for over 40 years. Her monumental career started at the American Red Cross in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she focused her time and efforts to creating improvements with the tissue donation program. After 20 years of service with the American Red Cross, Chris and her family moved to New Mexico in 1993. She continued to dedicate her efforts, in the laboratory setting, throughout NM until she retired in 2016. Chris was always passionate about her line of work and loved helping others.
Chris was very active and loved spending much of her time outdoors. She loved animals, hiking, rock hunting and gardening. Her faith in Catholicism was also a huge part of her life. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church since 1993. She was very spiritual and was always active in prayer groups and church events. Above all, she was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and memaw.
She was loved and cherished by those people who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory and love will live on through her husband of 53 years, Rex McClintock; her child, Autumn Long (Roger); her grandchildren: Gavin, Jessica, Savannah, Paris, Cheyanne, Bryson and Gage and Alexis; great granddaughter, Natalie. She is also survived by her sisters: Terry Johnson (Tom) and Twyla Thomas; her cousin Alan Bartonek (Linda); as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Clarissa was preceded in death by her parents: Richard Sell (Lillie), Esther Hildreth (Loyd); and other members including aunts and uncles.
Services will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church starting with a Rosary at 10:00 A.M., followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:30 A.M., officiated by Rev. Michael Williams.

Chis she was a beautiful spiritual person full of smiles and joy. I just working with her. She will be truly missed by all who loved her. God bless...
Chris was a ray of sunshine everywhere she went and an inspiration to all that were blessed to have known her. Rest peacefully, Chris.
Very sweet lady; I was always moved when she brought her grandson to Mass every week for years, and in later times equally moved as her husband brought her to breakfast at Johnny B's and took such good care of her.
Sympathies to the family.
God welcome her home!
