David Lee Lamb went to his heavenly home on July 11, 2024 after a lengthy illness. Dave was born on June 15, 1949 to Raymond and Marilyn Lamb in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He enlisted in the US Army after graduating from high school and served two years in Vietnam.
While living in New Hampshire, he met the love of his life, Mary Ann, who he affectionately called George. They traveled throughout the United States, Mexico and the Virgin Islands. They settled down in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico in 1991.
They started a business called, Buffalo Bill’s Cactus Ranch which specialized in exotic cacti. Dave was a talented photographer with beautiful pictures taken all over New Mexico. His pictures were exhibited at the Cactus Ranch, where customers went home with exotic cacti and beautiful pictures that Dave had taken. The Cactus Ranch and the beautiful photographs were featured in several regional magazines. Dave’s framed photographs were exhibited in several galleries in Truth or Consequences.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Marilyn Lamb, and his brother, Larry Lamb.
Dave is survived by his daughter, Katie Kretschmer, (husband, Joe Miller) Grandsons, Owen and Miles Miller.
Dave is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Ann (George); his sisters- Donna Lamb (Sue Hoffman) and Julie Tallent (John Martinez); brother, Phil Lamb; nieces- Autumn Lamb and Angela Weller; and nephew, Nick Tallent.
Dave will be missed by his two best friends and constant companions, Frank and Henry (his dogs).
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Donations can be made in Dave’s name to your favorite animal shelter.
