Gregory George “Maynard” Knowlton, 75, died at his home on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. He was born on April 9, 1948, in Minneapolis, MN to James E. Knowlton and Kathleen M. Sexton. Maynard was a Parts Manager for NAPA Auto Parts and retired in the mid 2000’s. He was an auxiliary member of the VFW. He was a classic car enthusiast and enjoyed photography, music, and the outdoors. Survivors include his children – Nina Greenwood and spouse, Matthew, and Carrie Ann Klingensmith and spouse, Thomas; grandchildren – Hogan (25) and Haden (20) Greenwood, Jacob (28), Jenna (24), and Jordan (21) Klingensmith, and Alana (24) Hailey (21) and Kristen (15) Dickson; and brothers – Thomas Knowlton, Michael J. Stifter, and Joseph Stifter. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy Jean “Dee Jay” Knowlton; brother, James M. Knowlton; and daughter, Nicole Dickson.
I knew Mr.Greg when I would come down from albuquerque and spend time in t or c. He was my grandpas friend and he was an amazing guy. When I heard when he died and I was hurt and sadded. My grandpa told me I think on the day that mr.greg died or after but Ima miss mr.greg. Mr.greg died about a month before my grandpa did. Rest easy mr.greg I hope u n my grandpa r talking alot bout fishing
