Helen “Hedi” Fox, 87, a resident of Elephant Butte, died at home on Thursday, August 1, 2024. She was born on April 28, 1937, in Miami, OK, to James “Pete” Reeves and Helen Louise Gustin.
Hedi was a job estimator and retired in 2002. She was a dedicated member of the Pre to Post Transplant Foundation and the Moose Lodge. Her favorite pastimes were crafting, baking, gardening, and reading. She valued her faith and was always committed to taking care of others. Above all else, she loved her family.
Survivors include her children – Michael Fox and wife, Lisa Dawson, Toni Davis, and Chico, her dog; grandchildren – Michelle Gibson (Mike), Jory Fox (Susan), Teri Tillman (Todd), Jennifer McFarlane (Kevin), Aaron “AJ” Fox (Kristin), and Kelsey Walker; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen Reeves; husband, Gene Fox; son, Joe Fox; sisters – Billy and Allene; and brother, Nelson.

It was a pleasure to not only meet you but to have great talks. You had a great spirit and your loving heart for your daughter Toni and granddaughter Jenny, were seen and heard each day. We are glad we were able to have met you, you will be missed.

The kids and I stayed at elephant butte for a few days with her, the girls still remember those days. She and I had a lengthy conversation about being widows. I adored and loved her very much, I deeply regret not visiting her again. Ronda Reeves and family.
