Obituary For Jennifer Jean Cherry
Jennifer Jean Cherry, 61, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2025. She was born on July 22, 1963 in Reno, NV to William Miller and Jean Swope. Jennifer devoted her life to caring for others, both human and animal alike. As a Certified Nursing Assistant at the New Mexico State Veteran’s Home, she brought comfort, dignity, and kindness to countless patients and their families, until her retirement in 2020. Jennifer had a deep, abiding love for animals, especially dogs. She enjoyed volunteering at the T. or C. Animal Shelter. Though she has left this world, Jennifer’s legacy of kindness, compassion, and love lives on in the many lives she touched. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
Jennifer is survived by her husband of 24 years, Curtis Cherry; daughter, Chandra Powell; 1 grandson of Amarillo, TX; siblings: Sean Miller and Penny Chapman; her father, William Miller; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Jennifer was preceded in death by her son, Tyson Terrell and her mother, Jean Swope.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 PM at Kirikos Family Funeral Home. Cremation will take place following.
