Obituary For Joe Danny Chavez

Joe Danny Chavez was born in Las Cruces, NM, to Joe Danny Chavez and Maria Louisa Lopez. He grew up in both Albuquerque, NM and Winston, NM.

He spent most of his adult life in T. or C., where he got married and had his daughters. He always enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was fishing at the river, hanging out at the lake or camping out in the mountains- being outdoors is where he wanted to be.

He took his last breath at home on January 2, 2025, surrounded by family, on his 60th birthday, just like he wanted.

Joe is survived in life by his daughters: Rosemary Gurule, April Chavez, Samantha Chavez, Daniella Chavez and Maria Chavez; grandchildren: Trinity Gurule, Caleb Gurule, Jesslyn Palacios, Benjamin Allen, and Ava Allen; his siblings: Deborah Meier, Dolores Chavez, Sandra Segura, and Teddy Segura; Aunts: Rube Salazar and Irene Bustamante; as well as other family members, Mary Chavez (ex-wife), Rosie Chavez (mother-in-law) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is joined in the afterlife by his parents, Joe Danny Chavez and Maria Louisa Lopez; all of his grandparents, and some aunts and uncles.

Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
