Rosalind Fletcher, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of the community, passed away on June 8, 2024, just days after her husband. Born in Dorchester, Massachusetts, Rosalind was a down-to-earth, no-frills woman of truth in her spiritual community, offering forthright counsel based on experiential wisdom. Her 100% availability, steadfast faith in her higher power, and sense of humor, even in the face of life's tragedies, endeared her to many. She is survived by her daughter and grandson, Diane and Connor Gordon of Colchester, CT.
Rosalind was devoted to helping people through her lifelong commitment to her career as a visiting nurse primarily working with hospice patients. In addition, she oversaw multiple residential facilities that provided care for adults with severe developmental and physical disabilities.
During Dick's progression into Alzheimer's, Rosalind remained steadfast in her faith and loyal in her visits with him, exemplifying love and commitment. Her presence and guidance were deeply appreciated by those she touched, and her legacy of love, discretion, and honor will be cherished forever.
Dick and Rosalind's love story spanned decades, filled with shared joys and unwavering support for each other. Now reunited, freed from earthly ailments, they rest together with their Creator. While their physical presence will be missed, their spiritual presence and the memories they created will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to know them.
With love, discretion, and honor, we remember our forever friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico with a Rosary starting at 10:00 A.M. followed by a Memorial Mass to celebrate Rosalind and Dick’s lives and share memories. Friends and family are invited to attend and pay their respects.
