Rosemary E. Hoskins, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of our community, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2024 at the age of 75. Rosemary was born on October 4, 1948 in Williamstown, New Jersey to William and Freda Callahan. She was one of 9 children. Rosemary's life was a testament to her boundless love for her family and her passion for her community. Rosemary served with distinction as the Williamsburg Fire Chief, from 1991- 2008, and she also served on the Chamber of Commerce. Her leadership, courage, and commitment to the safety and well-being of her neighbors were nothing short of inspiring.
Rosemary’s enthusiasm for plants was evident throughout her home, where she found joy in tending to her many blooms and greenery. Her home was not just a collection of her many plants but a reflection of her nurturing spirit and zest for life. She also loved to crochet, and was known for giving the blanket she made to everyone she came into contact with.
Rosemary is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Ron Hoskins, Sr; her son, Ron Hoskins, Jr and wife Jessie; grandchildren- Reggie Hoskins (Julia), Morgan Hoskins (Mason McDaniels), Brenden Anglin (Kali Clark) and Ty Hoskins; great grandchildren- Brantley, Michael and Savannah McDaniels, Rylee Hoskins, Samuel Hoskins and Braxton Lee Anglin; her last surviving brother, Paul Callahan and his wife, Royce; and her adopted mom, Wilma Traugh; as well as a multitude of friends and community members who were touched by her generosity and spirit.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 7 siblings. Rosemary’s light shone brightly, and her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

First my condolences to the family of Rosemary. Back in the 60's in our teens in New Jersey you were my very first "real" girlfriend. When I took you to my prom you were the prettiest girl there. I truly loved you and you will always be in my heart. To Ron your husband after Rose and I parted ways she and you eventually became Husband and Wife. I did not know you well, but I knew about you. You and Rose having been married over 50 years is wonderful. I often said if I had to lose Rose as a girlfriend, I could not have loss her to a better man than you are. I'm so sorry for your loss. May you Rest in Peace Rose. - Jack Skain
