Sally Torres, 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, in Truth or Consequences, NM. Sally was born on April 1, 1933 in Monticello to Adrian Sanchez and Delfina Silva. Sally grew up on the family ranch in Monticello, where she learned to work hard. She carried that lesson throughout her life, working as a nurse, a homemaker and always working alongside her husband. On her spare time, she loved to play softball. She was very supportive of her kids and grandkids, and was always there for them.
Sally is survived by her son, Fred Torres (Sandee); grandchildren: Erlinda Torres, Dennis Torres (Tanya), Albert Torres (Letisha), Jorden Torres (Allison), and Victoria Gerard (Flagan); great grandchildren: Savana Brown, Leah Torres, Colton Gerard, Martiza Torres, Kassandra Torres, Adrian Torres, and Marcus Torres; and great- great grandchildren: Cyrus Castro and Ryker Castro.
Sally was preceded in death by her loving husband, Genaro Torres; son, Joe Torres; parents, Adrian and Delfina Sanchez; and siblings: Fred, Eloy, Dan, Elsie and Colastica.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Interment will take place at a later date at the Monticello Cemetery.
