Sue Ann Stevenson, 70, a longtime resident and retired business owner of Truth or Consequences, NM passed away January 29, 2025, leaving a void her family cannot fill. Sue was born in Las Vegas, NM on August 9, 1954 to Melvin R. Coble and Corrine B. Wilson. Her dad worked for the railroad and soon moved his family to Deming, NM. She grew up in Deming, met and married her first husband, William Duncan. They soon moved their little family to T. or C. in 1978. Sue became a single mother and worked hard to provide for her children. Sue met and married the love of her life, Glen (Bud) Stevenson. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She would keep toys and stuffed animals out ready for the grandchildren when they would come to visit. She loved and adored her children and her grandchildren. Family was very important to Sue. She always would host a big family gathering for holidays and cook most of the food. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes. Sue took special joy in watching wildlife. She and Bud enjoyed going to the fish hatchery and photographing wildlife in the area. At home she had a fantastic view of Turtleback Mountain and enjoyed looking out toward the mountain and all the wildlife in the area. Sue had fond memories of when she and her husband Bud owned and operated the K-Bob steakhouse until about 2004. Then they enjoyed working together as a team. They met a lot of great people when they had the Steakhouse and built a lot of memories. Sue was a very caring individual that knew what it meant to be a good friend and neighbor. She was always willing to lend a hand to help or an ear to listen. Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband, Glen (Bud) Stevenson; son, Donald Stevenson; grandson, Glen; great grandson, Isaiah, and her father, Melvin Ray Coble. She is survived by her sons- Daniel (Jeanette) Stevenson of Elephant Butte, NM, Richard Stevenson of Morresville, IN and Bill (Rachel) Duncan or T. or C., NM; her daughters- Tammy (Clifford) Brown of Shelton, WA, and Kimberly (Richard) Luchs of Utah; 20 Grandchildren and 19 Great-Grandchildren who will never forget the love she brought to there lives. She is also survived by her mother, Corrine Coble of Deming, NM; brothers- Rodney (Penni) Coble of Orange, Texas, and William (Margaret) Coble of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Tammy (Rick) Underwood, Deming, NM; and lifelong friends and neighbors, Jim and Carol Tuner.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Truth Tabernacle UPC located at 1911 South Broadway, officiated by Rev. Joe Lucero.
