OBITUARY:
Cedrick “Lad” Winters was born on January 14, 1968 to the late Eddie Thompson, Sr. and Dell Ann Thompson. He departed this life on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at his home in Durant, MS.
Cedrick accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at Jericho Missionary Baptist Church in Sallis, MS.
Cedrick was joined in Holy Matrimony to Cherryl Renae Seawood on December 30, 1996. This union was blessed with one biological son and two step-daughters. He received his education at McAdams High School in McAdams, MS.
Cedrick's loving and caring spirits showed in his dedication and attention to his two small grandchildren. His hobbies were fishing and watching western movies.
Cedrick was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Thompson, Sr. and Dell Ann Thompson; brother, Christopher Thompson; and step-grandson, Tyreece Thomas.
Cedrick is survived by his loving wife, Cherryl Renae; son, Cedric Bernard (Angelica) Seawood; step-daughters, Rhosondra Seawood and Yarsby Seawood; grandchildren, Aubree Seawood and Cedric Seawood, Jr.; two step-grandson, Matthew Riley and Edward Riley; one step-daughter, Cecelia Grace; sisters; Stephanie Thompson, Ester Thompson and Dianna(Justin) Mallett; brothers; Edward Winters, Eddie Thompson, Jr., Shaun Thompson, Daniel Thompson, and Keith Thompson; uncles, Jessie (Brenda) Winters, Clarence (Helen) Winters and Tommie (Ruby) Winters; and a host of nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-laws, “Danny Safford's Tree Gang”, relatives and friends.
