OBITUARY:
Claudine Wilson was born on June 1, 1944, in Tchula, MS to the late Louis Thurmond and Almeta Quinn Broadnax.
On Sunday morning, February 1, 2026, God called her home with her son Jackie Wilson lovingly by her side.
At an early age, Claudine joined Rock of Ages Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Elder Fred Wade, where she served faithfully. Later, she transferred her membership to Guiding Light Church of God in Christ, where she remained a devoted member until her passing.
Claudine was a very active and hardworking woman. She was employed at Mansoor's Department Store, Belmont Sportswear, and Irvin Automotive until her retirement. After retiring, she became a business owner and opened Nane Dean Country Kitchen, where she prepared a variety of short order meals. Due to health challenges, she later closed the business.
Claudine was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Thurmond and Almeta Quinn Broadnax; her husband, Jessie Wilson, Jr.; her son, Felix Wilson; her daughter, Linda W. Sherrod; four brothers, John Willis Thurmond, Willie Dee Thurmond, Roosevelt Thurmond and Louis Thurmond, Jr. and one sister, Maxine Gamble.
She leaves to cherish her memory four children: Jessie(Eddie)Harris of West Memphis, Arkansas, Jeridean Booker of Chicago, Illinois, Jackie Wilson of Tchula, Mississippi and Mary W. Johnson of Tchula, Mississippi.
She is also survived by her siblings: Harry Thurmond of Lexington, Mississippi; Robert Larry (Cinthia)Thurmond of Tchula, Mississippi; Tilmond Thurmond of New Orleans, Louisiana; Mary Ann Broadnax, Sylvia Taylor of Southaven, Mississippi and John (Cora) Broadnax, Jr.; along with sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
