OBITUARY:

Columbus confessed Christ at an early age at Quofoloma Missonary Baptist Church in Mileston, MS under the leadership of Bishop Eddie Young, where he served as a deacon.

Columbus worked as a City Worker, Jailor, and Fire Fighter for the City of Tchula, MS. Jim enjoyed caring for others and doing things around Delta Manor Apartments.

Columbus leaves to cherish his memories: two sisters; Cornelia Jefferson(Lexington, MS) and Corenia Watts(Tchula, MS); a great niece he loved as his own; Crystal "Cookie" Dean-Benson, a host of nieces, nephews and tons of friends. A very special PCA; Angela Jefferson(Tchula, MS) and a long time friend; Sharkey Ford(Tchula, MS).

Columbus was preceded in death by his parents; Maulee and Columbus Person; five brothers; Willie James and Lank Wright, Fred, John, Richard Lee and Jessie Person; three sisters; Bobbie, Lucielle and Norene Person.
