Dwartha LaShawn Allen affectionately known to her family and friends as DeeDee, a brilliant soul who left this world far too soon on March 16, 2025. Born July 10, 1974 to Shirley Huntley Lewis and Larry Allen in Yazoo City, MS.
Dee Dee was a beacon of light, illuminating the lives of those around her. Dee Dee knew and loved many people from all walks of life, she never met a stranger.
Laughter flowed through Dee Dee's veins. She had a deep desire for filling people with laughter and her humor was infectious and touched everyone she met.
Dee Dee is survived by her mother Shirley Huntley Lewis (Jessie), father Larry Allen(Sarah); her brother Patrick Allen(Tanasha), Ryan Drake; a special sister, Stephanie Darnell. Her children, Breanna Marshay Allen and Quwanderius Allen. Grandchildren, Nikyah, Nicholas, Jonathan, Armoni, Dewon, Devon. Aunts, Lesia Ware(Zelma), Janice Whiters. Uncles, Jimmy Lee Mack, L.C. Allen, Calvin Allen, John Allen, and Rod Allen. A host of cousins, friends and a Special Cousin Joyce Allen.
Dee Dee is proceeded in death by her son Marshawn Allen(Fatman); sister, Meghan Allen; maternal grandmother Ethel Huntley; maternal grandfather William Whiters, Sr.; uncle, William Whiters, Jr.; paternal grandmother Doris Allen; godmother Vonnie Helm.
Dee Dee you brilliance will forever echo in our hearts.
