OBITUARY:

Janya Janae Howard was born July 27, 1999, in Canton, MS, to Erica Howard and the late Mr. Henry T. Brown Jr. Janya “Ham” was called home on Thursday, June 30, 2022. Ham was raised in the Mileston/Tchula area. She resided in Mileston until her death. Janya received her education in the Holmes County and Yazoo City School systems, where Janya loved playing basketball in both schools. She received her high school diploma from Holmes Central High School. She graduated with the class of 2017.

Ja’Kayle Kalis Howard was born on February 23, 2005, in Jackson, MS, to Erica Howard and the late Mr. Henry T. Brown, Jr. Ja’Kayle “Kayle” was called home on Thursday, June 30, 2022. Kayle was raised in the Mileston Community, where she lived until her untimely death. Kayle was headed to her senior year at Thomas Christian Academy in Yazoo City, MS, where she loved cheerleading, karate, all sports, and the Bible. Ja’Kayle loved her school and was looking forward to going to Southern Mississippi “Golden Eagles” to study to become a lawyer. Kayle would be a member of the Thomas Christian Academy Class of 2023.

Janya and Ja’Kayle both leave to cherish their memories with their mom Erica(Chris) of Tchula, MS; sister, Arronesha (Rodrekus) Howard of Tchula, MS. One nephew: Rylan Washington of Tchula, MS.; Grandparents, Genetta Faye Howard of Tchula, MS.; Willie J. Miles of Chicago, Ill. Veronica (Lemarcus) Amos, Cruger, MS. Godmother Tamika (Larry) Jefferson, Uncle Shamaine Howard of Tchula, MS. Special Big Brother, James Baker of Tchula; Special Friend, Chaunce Young; Special Aunts and uncles who helped raised Ham and Kayle: Julettea (Willie) Townsend, Mary (Calvin Head), Mary H.
