OBITUARY:
Jessie B. Ramsey (Sugar Pudding) was born May 18, 1946 to Euis Smart and Robert Ramsey. Jessie departed this life on April 6, 2025 at Select Specialty Hospital, Jackson, MS.
Jessie attended “TAC” Tchula Attendance Center, Tchula, MS where he graduated and also played basketball.
Jessie joined Tchula Church of Christ and was faithful member until his health failed.
Jessie was employed with Illinois Central Rail Road in Waterloo, Iowa, Vicking Pump, Cedar Falls, Iowa and Iowa Medical and Classification Center, Oakdale, Iowa until his retirement.
Jessie was preceded in death by his mother, Euis Smart and father, Robert Ramsey.
Jessie leaves to cherish his memories; one son; Alonzo E. Steeter, Sr. (Tracey) of Laurel, MS; two grandsons; David Bender(Cece) of Newton, MS and Alonzo Streeter, Jr. (Heather) of Clarke County, MS; three daughters: Myeisha Streeter of Heidelberg, MS, Adrienne McDonald and Alexis Streeter both of Laurel, MS; seventeen great grandchildren; a very special friend who he loved dearly, Ms Charlene Quarrel of Lexington, MS and a host of cousins and friends in Tchula.
