OBITUARY:
Laquicia Phillips was born on January 30, 1973 to Linda Powell and Ebenezer Collins Jr.
Laquicia accepted Christ at an early age and joined Progressive M.B. Church with her family. She later joined Corner Stone M.B. Church until her passing. She attended Johnson Elementary School, Brinkley Jr. High and Lanier High School.
Laquicia was united in holy matrimony to Marcus Phillips. She lived her later years with a special friend, Michael Porter.
Laquicia was a dedicated worker for years at the MS State fairgrounds. She worked for. Piccadilly cafeteria til her health declined.
Laquicia was proceeded in death by her Maternal Grandparents: Ebenezer and Bernice Collins; father Ebenezer Collins and a father who raised her, James Earl Powell; brother:Jessie James Powell; Uncles Abe and Alfred Mallett.
Laquicia leaves behind a loving and devoted mother: Linda Powell; three children: Marcus, Michalla and Naiasha ; five sisters: Janice Powell, Suzettia Powell, Jasmine Powell, Jamilyn Morgan, Sharlette Shorter; aunts: Shirley Williams, Lue Motallebi, Margaret Powell, Beola Powell, Willie Terry; uncles:Emmanuel Perkins, Larry Collins, Michael Collins. Like a sister, Dianco Mallett; like a brother, Remelus Bowden and a special cousin, Carl Brown. She also leaves behind, 9 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
