OBITUARY::
Ms. Loretta Elaine Rogers was born August 16, 1964 in Jackson, MS, to the late Edward and Bettie Lee Rogers. She was the ninth of twelve children.
Loretta accepted Christ at an early age at Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor James McClenty. She later joined Southside Assembly of God under the leadership of Pastor Brian Wilson, where she sung in the choir. She was apart of Outreach Ministry program called the D.O.G. House and she started Hand Maiden of the Lord. For many years Loretta participated in salvation stations, and other ministries until her health failed her.
Loretta graduated from Callaway Senior High in Jackson, Mississippi. She attended Jackson State University for one year.
Loretta worked at Tyson Food for many years where she met the father of her two children (Johnathon Shipp). Loretta also worked at Boyd's Early Childhood Center under her best friend, Cassandra Lenston until her passing.
She is preceded in death by both her parents, Edward and Bettie Lee Rogers; grandparents, aunts, uncles, and three brothers; James Edward Rogers, Ricky Rogers and Walter Rogers.
She leaves to cherish her two children; Toni F. Rogers(Antoinette); Kayla Danielle Woodland Blalock(Abram); granddaughters; Trinity Grace-Amidi Rogers and Aubrii Lee Woodland Blalock; and a plus child that she loved dearly; Maliyah Eubanks; six sisters; Willie Jean Quinn-Davis(Marlowe) St. Louis, MO; Gwendolyn Smith(Frank) Lexington, MS; and her favorite of all Diana Gray(Felix) New Braunfels, TX); Reber Lynn Rogers, Annette Rogers, both of Sacramento, CA; and Teresa Bronson, Jackson, MS; two brothers; Rufus Quinn(Carla) Jackson, MS; and Larry Rogers(Maxine)South Carolina. Loretta also leaves to mourn her best friend...her "Golden Friend" Connie Body(Lyndell) of Jackson, MS; She leaves a host of aunts, uncles and cousins to mourn her.
