MARCUS DESHUN "RED" JEFFERSON

January 15, 1990 - October 11, 2026

On January 15, 1990, a precious life began with the birth of Marcus Deshun Jefferson, affectionately known to his family and friends as "Red." On October 11, 2026, Marcus departed this earthly life, leaving behind cherished memories and a special place in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Marcus was the beloved son of the late Mary Lee Jefferson of Tchula, Mississippi, and Charlie (Charlene) Butcher of Belzoni, Mississippi. He was also the son of the late Larry Kimble of Tchula, Mississippi. Marcus was blessed to have Zenobia Miller as his bonus dad.

Marcus received his education at S.V. Marshall High School and was a graduate of Educational Training Institution. He was employed with Milwaukee Tools, where he dedicated his time and efforts to his work.

Throughout his life's journey, Marcus shared special bonds with his family, friends, and loved ones. Affectionately called "Red," he leaves behind memories that will forever be treasured. Although his earthly journey has ended, the love he shared and the memories he created will continue to live on through those whose lives he touched.

Marcus was preceded in death by his loving mother, Mary Lee Jefferson, and his father, Larry Kimble.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his father, Charlie (Charlene) Butcher of Belzoni, Mississippi; his bonus dad, Zenobia Miller; and his three beloved children, Amir Jefferson, Amiyah Williams, and Kyrie Williams, who will forever carry his love in their hearts.

He also leaves to cherish his memory four sisters: Guazandra Jefferson-Powell (Kennegle) of Lexington, Mississippi; Kimberlye Moore of Jeffersonville, Indiana; Valerie Moore of Columbus, Mississippi; and Sheronda Cato (Wayne) of New Hebron, Mississippi. Seven brothers: Terrance Jefferson, Reco Jefferson, and Corrie Jefferson, all of Tchula, Mississippi; Larry Moore (M'Tisha) of Yazoo City, Mississippi; Prentiss Moore (Bethany) of Atlanta, Georgia; Dewayne Newell of Belzoni, Mississippi; and Kenneth Jefferson of Tchula, Mississippi. Marcus also leaves behind his special friend, Tiyana Williams, along with a host of other relatives, friends, coworkers, and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.

Though Marcus is no longer physically present, his memory will remain a lasting part of the lives of those who loved him. His journey on earth may have come to an end, but his story will continue through his children, his family, and the countless memories they hold dear.

Rest peacefully, Marcus Deshun "Red" Jefferson.

Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. Your memory will live on forever.

As a child you was so energetic and kept me laughing. I enjoyed watching you, Corey, Shay Shay, and Muke cracking jokes and being mischievous.
