OBITUARY:
Paulette "Polly" Johnson 56, of Tchula, MS went to join our loving Creator on Friday, December 31, 2021 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Allen, TX. She was born October 19, 1965, in Chicago, IL, to Willie Ella Johnson and Walter L. Johnson(both preceded her in death).
Paulette was raised by her maternal grandmother, Mattie Causey Freeman, who pre-deceased her in 1998. She accepted Christ as her savior at an early age. Paulette was always surrounded by her family members that included a plethora of cousins in which her unique relationship with each of them has endeared special ever-lasting memories that they will cherish forever.
Paulette was dedicated mother and grandmother and was a great confidante and fun companion for her many family members and friends. She was a long time resident of Tchula and graduated from Tchula Attendance Center, followed by many years of work and service at several local institutions and organizations throughout her adult life.
Paulette loved life and she lived it to the fullest. She loved to cook, and spent a lot of her spare time cooking for her family. She also enjoyed taking road trips, traveling, and spending time with various family members. Paulette was also a big fan and supporter of the Dallas Cowboys. Her greatest source of joy and happiness was spending time with her daughter and grandchildren as much as possible.
Paulette loved shopping for unique handbags to add to her abundant collection. She also had a love for the Christmas season and the beautiful Christmas decorations and lights, which were always a highlight for her each year. Paulette's faith and strength was a blessing to many, and her memories and life lessons will forever be in our hearts.
Paulette succumbed to a re-occurrence of colon cancer and fought tirelessly to the end in order to provide additional memories for her loved ones. Paulette has been separated from an aching frame; she sleeps so restful, so at peace, no more sickness, no more pain; Paulette has entered upon a new life in heavenly land. Paulette's influence will be with us; such a life never dies.
Paulette leaves an abundance of wonderful memories to be cherished by the family; her loving daughter, Taneshia Reshay Johnson(Allen, TX);grandchildren, Cambren Malik Chaney and Nylah Skye Miller(Allen, TX); brother, Walter(Nikki)Johnson, Jr.(Cypress, CA);aunts, Lillie B. Green(Tchula, MS)and Cora B. Baker(Chicago, IL);nieces, Myesha Johnson(Houston, TX)and Destanie Morton(Walnut, CA);nephew, Michael Lane(Houston, TX);a host of cousins and friends.
Remembering her wonderful and gentle soul and smile may she rest in peace! ___(Daniel) Rt Harris

One funny memory I will always remember from Elementary School is how Paulette could perfectly talk like "Tweety". She would have us laughing so hard. Betty Johnson C/O 79 and 83
