OBITUARY:

Brother Percy Lee Mason, Sr. was born February 28, 1947, to the late Willie and Jessie Mae Mason. Both preceded him in death.

He confessed his life in Christ at an early age at Big Mt. Zion M.B. Church until his death. He was the Chairman of the Deacon Board under the leadership of Bishop C.D. Mitchell.

A time to be loved:

Percy married Mrs. Jannie Faye Mason in holy matrimony, with this union seven children were born.

A time to weep:

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jannie Faye Mason; son Percy Mason, Jr.; two brothers and three sisters.

A time to leave:

Percy was called by the angels and he answered on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at his home, where he slept away peacefully.

Our time to mourn:

He leaves to cherish his memories, four daughters: Trendia (Theodore)Hudson, Claudette Mason, and Belinda Mason, all of Thornton, MS. Ms Pattie Mason of Madison, MS; five sons: Scott(Mircale) Mason, Shon Mason of Thornton, MS, Charles Gamble of Atlanta, GA, Teheran Ward of Milwaukee, WI and Ricky, Phillips of Jackson, MS. Two sisters: Izola Johnson and Ruth Mason of Flora, MS. Four brothers in-law: Willie Mayze, George Mayze, Roger Mayze and Larthell Chambers, all of Tchula, MS. Two sisters-in-law: Glenda Hampton of Tchula, MS and Annie (Ronald) Henderson of Peoria, IL. Fiancé Yvette Miles and her daughter Tyeisha Williams. Twenty-five grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
