Robert Earl Love was born in Holmes County, MS, December 22, to the late Baxter “Steve” Love, Sr. and Eva Love. On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, he departed peacefully at Aliya of Evanston Nursing Facility in Evanston, IL.
Robert was a graduate of the Class of 1976 from Tchula Attendance Center. He attended Jackson State University and later became an entrepreneur, owning and operating a furniture store. He was an ordained minister in the Church of God in Christ and dedicated much of his life to faith and theological study, earning several degrees in theology. He was also a skilled self taught pianist and musician, sharing his talent through music throughout his life. For a short time, he was married to Annie Earl Love who precedes him in death. He resided in Chicago for the majority of his life, where he worked, worshipped and pursued his life interests. Though private by nature, he lived a life rooted in faith, education, music and service, and he will be remembered for these contributions.

One uncle, Iren Fisher of Belzoni, MS and one aunt Mary Alice Fisher of Belzoni, MS and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Robert was about the friendliest person in our class at TAC. He was so wise ahead of his time, and could talk your head off. He knew about so many things and people. He was a great friend and classmate. No matter how long (decades) it had been since we'd seen each other, he was still the same poised, articulate, friendly, and well-dressed Robert Love when I last saw him. Thank you, God for this Man of God. Sleep in peace my friend. -- Love, Gail
My condolences to Robert's family and friends. Robert was a classmate and friend. I will always remember his surprise phone calls and how he loved to talk about my older family members while I simply listened and smiled. He will be missed.
Extending my deepest sympathy to the Love Family. The Mileston community will miss his "jolly" spirit.
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
