OBITUARY:

Robert Ray Harris was born March 12, 1950 to the late Mr. Robert Lee and Mrs. Thelma Harris.

Robert accepted Christ in his life at an early age. He was a member of New Bethany Assembly for Christ, under the leadership of his Auntie, Pastor Ruth Dotson.

Robert worked for the city of Lexington for twenty plus years. After retiring, Robert went into business for himself. He became CEO of Harris Lawn Service in Lexington, Mississippi.

Robert Harris departed this life, February 28, 2021 at home.

Robert was preceded in death by his daughter; Rachell Johnson, four brothers; Don Lee Harris, Johnny Harris, Bobbie Harris, and Emmit Harris.

Robert leaves to cherish his memories, six sons; Jimmy Lee Jenkins, (Tchula, MS);Robert Earl Harris, Anthony Brown, Jerry Martin, (Lexington, MS); Bobby Davis(Memphis, TN); and Jarmarta Hills. Three daughters; Mary Stewart, Wendy Brown(Lexington, MS); and Tammy Wilks; four brothers; Jerry Harris(Lisa), Lamend Harris, Andrew Harris and Donald Harris(Milwaukee, WI);four sisters; Lula Hall Harris and Frances Harris (Milwaukee, WI); Bernice Sue Johnson(Tchula, MS); and Letha Harris (Orlando, FL); two godsons; Walter Banks and Terry Kirklen(Lexington, MS); a devoted friend; Ms. Paley(Lexington, MS); twenty two grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
