Cleveland Whiteside III was born July 18, 1996, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Born to Sherra Noel and Cleveland Whiteside Jr. He was a beloved son, husband, sibling, grandchild, cousin, and mentor.
Cleveland confessed Christ at an early age and attended Clinton Public Schools. He later finished his senior year of high school at Holmes County Central High School, graduating May 2015. Cleveland attended Holmes Community College and later
enlisted into the US Marine Corps assigned to Golf Company in the 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment aboard Camp Lejeune, NC. Cleveland PCS’d to 3rd Battalion 5th Marine Regiment then to 1st Battalion 4th Marine Regiment at Camp Pendleton, CA.
Cleveland’s love for the next generation fueled his desire to become US Marine Corps Recruiter in RSS Dallas.
Cleveland will be remembered for his warm heart, infectious laugh, and unwavering support of family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, the range, working out, and sports.
Cleveland is survived by Parents: Sherra (Joe) Noel, Cleveland (Dianne) Whiteside, Wife, Kristina Thorne, siblings: Pierre Whiteside, Destiny Noel, Joshun Noel, Shakiya Whiteside, Jarvis Whiteside, Myiesha Applon. Grandparents, Joe & Linda Noel, Andrew
& Angela Ross, Janie Ray Cleveland (Dorothy) Whiteside, Aunts & Uncles, and Cousins, and preceded in death by his grandfather M.L. Ray.
Cleve, you are missed deeply. I'm so sorry to his family for their loss. He was an amazing person to everyone who knew him and will always have a lasting impression on his marines. It was a pleasure serving with you. Thank you for all the times you where their for me. May your soul rest in peace with the Lord.

Ssgt Cleveland was and is an amazing person, all around wonderful! I wish he could be here for when I enter the USMC. I am a student in JROTC at HCCHS and he was always so supportive and open with every kid because he had and has a big heart.
