MR. CURTIS JACOBS LIFE REFLECTION

When we’re born, a book of life is created, and its contents include all the highs and lows we’ll encounter during our time here on earth. Curtis’s story began on December 20, 1955, in Phenix City, AL where he was born to the late Mary Lee Jacobs and the late Eddie Jacobs. During the early chapters of his life, he committed his life to the Lord and united with Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL under the leadership of Rev. F. F. Andrews. Curtis was educated in the Russell County School System and attended South Girard High School in Phenix City, AL. Curtis was previously employed at Fieldcrest Mill. He was employed with Phenix City Department of Sanitation until his health began to decline. In his leisure, he enjoyed repairing automobiles and playing the lottery. The final chapter of Curtis’s life was written Thursday, January 13, 2022, when he yielded to the call of our heavenly Father. Curtis was preceded in death by his parents; grandmother, Willie Mae Shorts, sister, Pearlie Mae Jackson; brothers, Johnny Jacobs, Elijah Miles, Ricky Jacobs, and Eddie Jacobs; brother -n- laws, Oscar Lattimor and Clifford Coleman; mother -n- law, Margaret Coleman. Curtis’s departure from earth is an immense loss to those who mourn him. Those left to cherish his memories include the love of his life, wife, Debra Coleman; daughter, Latwyla Harris, grandson, La’Derrick Thomas; loving and devoted sister, Mary Pearl Lattimor and sisters, Delores Brooks and Patricia (Donald) Williams; brothers, Walter Lee (Evelyn) Jacobs, Collis (Came’) Jacobs, Rev. Albert Stafford, Sr. and Earl Stafford; uncle, Jaycee McClain; brother -in- laws, George Jackson, Jr., Albert Coleman, and Rudolph Coleman; sister -in- laws, Constance Jacobs, Felicia James and Anita Coleman; an abundance of other loving relatives and friends.
