A time to be born: On September 5, 1944, Mary Louise Nolen was born to the late Oscar and Clara Stringer Sr., in Talbot County, Georgia.

A time of Service: Mary lived her life to the fullest. She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age. She actively displayed her heart of service everywhere she went. Mary was a committed member of Community Baptist Church where she lifted her voice faithfully in the choir, served on the usher board, and gladly assisted in other areas as needed. Mary worked at Swift Spinning until she retired. After retirement she enjoyed working at Central Elementary/High School.

A time to Celebrate: Mary and Curtis Nolen Jr. celebrated a marital union on May 13, 1963. Later, they welcomed a beautiful daughter Sandra (Lorenzo) Harris of Box Springs, GA. Three grandchildren, Deshondra (Kearsis) Leonard of Columbus GA, Lorenzo Harris, and Antonio Harris. Three great-grandchildren, Kea’yunnia Leonard, Kea’Laysia Leonard of Columbus, GA, and Jarell Harris of Danville, VA.

A time to Mourn: To every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heavens. The family, extended family, and friends are rich with great memories of Mary Louise Nolen. However, now is our time to grieve. On January 29, 2020, Our Heavenly Father called his lovely servant home. Among the many loved ones, Mary leaves to cherish her memories five sisters: Eddierene Blount, Carrie Williams, Dianne Stringer, Shira Stringer, and Shiradean Stringer, Four Brothers: Oscar (Mattie) Stringer, Willie (Janet) Stringer, Eddie (Hattie) Stringer, and Artis (Shawn) Stringer. Seven sister-in-laws: Moneica Shannon, Loretta Nolen, Beverly Hollis, Helen Hodo, Jeretha (Alton) Howard, Vicky Nolen, and Gayle Stringer. One brother-in-law: James Nolen, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by two sisters Jeanette Hadley and Rosa Sparks, one brother Jessie Stringer, father-in-law, and mother-in-law Curtis and Daisy Nolen Sr.
