PUBLIC VISITATION for Mr. Jimmie L. Dunner of Chicago, Illinois will be Friday, March 6, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Lavender’s Funeral Service
THE HOME GOING CELEBRATION HONORING THE LIFE & LEGACY of Mr. Jimmie L. Dunner of Chicago, Illinois will be Saturday, March 7, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at Old Bethany Primitive Baptist Church, 4425 Vienna River Road in Aliceville, Alabama.The body of Mr. Dunner will lie in state in the church one hour prior to the service.
INTERMENT will immediately follow the service in Old Bethany Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, also in Aliceville. Reverend Albert Johnson is The Pastor of Old Bethany P.B. Church. Rev. Terrence E. Windham, Pastor of Northside Baptist Church in Columbus, Mississippi will be The Eulogist.

Daddy I'm really going to miss my early Saturday morning phone calls and when you see me how your eyes lit up and you exclaimed there my boy is and that warm heartfelt embrace I just want you to know I will keep you in my heart always and forever keep watching over us love you .

Condolences to all of the families left to suffer the loss of such a blessed soul as Jimmie. I would call him whenever I made it to Chicago and he was always the same gentle Jimmie. He will be missed all who knew and loved him. God bless you all family.
Funny thing is when your kids are on the road coming to Aliceville you were always on the phone with us making sure we are going the right way telling me to slow down and to watch out for the troopers who do we have now that you're gone we need you to continue to guide us in life just like you guided us on the road rest on old man we love you !
