It is with deepest and heartfelt sorrow that Lavender's Funeral Service announces the passing of MR. PRUITT “Poot” YOUNG, on May 28, 2026 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS.

The PUBLIC VISITATION for Mr. Pruitt Young will be Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 3:00pm until 5:00pm at Lavender's Funeral Service.
THE GRAVESIDE HOMEGOING CELEBRATION HONORING THE LIFE & LEGACY of Mr. Pruitt Young, of Aliceville, AL will be Friday, June 5, 2026, 2:30 p.m. at Old Bethany, in Aliceville, Alabama. The body of Mr. Young, will lie in state in the cemetery 15 minutes prior to the service.
INTERMENT will immediately follow the funeral service in Old Bethany Cemetery, also in Aliceville, AL. Reverend Terrence Windham, Pastor of Northside M.B. Church will be The Eulogist.
