It is with deepest and heartfelt sorrow that Lavender's Funeral Service announces the passing of MRS. LYDIA B. WALKER HUGHES, 95 of Aliceville, Alabama on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at the home of her loving daughter in Ellenwood, Georgia.

PUBLIC VISITATION for Mrs. Lydia B. Hughes of Aliceville, Alabama will be Monday, May 11, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Lavender’s Funeral Service.
THE HOME GOING CELEBRATION HONORING THE LIFE & LEGACY of Mrs. Lydia Walker Hughes will be Tuesday, May 12, 2026, 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, 601 Baptist Line Road in Aliceville, Alabama. The body of Mrs. Hughes will lie in state in the church one hour prior to the service.
INTERMENT will immediately follow the funeral service in Magnolia Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 9654 Highway 14, also in Aliceville. Elder Damon Crawford of New life Christian Church in Florissant, Missouri and nephew of Mrs. Lydia Hughes will be The Eulogist
