My name is Barbara Bell. I live in Pennsylvania but my daughter is an inmate at Aliceville FCI. Just to let the family and friends know that my daughter contacted me about the passing of Ms. Ivy. She said that all the girls out there are extremely saddened, upset, filled with confusion and grief because Ms. Ivy was so professional, so kind, so well respected and well thought of, and none of the girls thought that they would never see her again! It certainly speaks well of a woman who is so highly thought of and sorely missed by the people she guards! What a loss to the inmates at the prison, and what a terrible loss to her husband, children, family and friends. My deepest sympathy on your loss and may she rest in perfect peace. Respectfully Yours, Barbara Bell.
Our deepest condolences and prayers to the Ivy & Ball family. Much love, Willie & Barbara Hopkins/Veronica Fields

My Deepest Condolences for the Loss of Ms. Ball-Ivy.
To the Family and Loved Ones of Ms. Vernita Lashay "Bama Qtee" Ivy,
I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Ms. Ball-Ivy. I had the privilege of knowing her during my time at FCI Aliceville, where she made a profound impact on my life and the lives of many others. Ms. Ball-Ivy was more than just an officer; she was a beacon of hope and compassion in an environment where both were often hard to come by.
She cared deeply for those around her and had a unique way of balancing sternness with compassion. Her dedication to helping others, even in the most challenging circumstances, left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. She provided support when it was needed the most, and for that, I will be forever grateful.
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this incredibly difficult time. May her soul rest in peace, and may you find comfort in knowing how many lives she touched and how deeply she will be missed.
With deepest sympathy,
Joanne Tragas
