The very first name I called in my teaching career was Jimmy Blades . It was 1976 at Horace Mann School on Robbins, Il. What a blessing it was for me to be lucky enough to meet him and the Blades family . His infectious smile and "fun" behavior were an integral part of our classroom and the entire community. Jimmy helped make me into the teacher /coach that I still am. My condolences to the entire Blades family. I hope before my "career" ends that I'll have the chance to see you all again .
