Larry, my dear friend, my protector, my brother. My heart is broken yet grateful that God allowed me to grow up with you. I'll miss our annual talks on mother's day and birthdays.I'll miss you saying what's up "waterhead". R.I.P. great job my friend. You have been A great man, son, dad, brother and friend. Love always Jonnita Pleasant Aka Waterhead
Lawrence Edward Greer Jr., a name that I'll remember for the rest of my life. So many memories of "first, with you". Such a long list that time and space will not allow. From Gillespie to Harlan High to Southern Illinois University. I'll never forget how I received soooooo many butt whoopings from my Dad (Bless and Rest his soul), because of the love I had for you. 😁 There is not one memory/experience that I had with you that I would take back today, even if I could. From the times we spent with family and friends, hanging out at your house day in and day out, your Mom ( bless her soul), going skating, basement parties, you picking me up from work, you coming down to college with me "as if you went there". You were loved by many. All I can say is Thank you for the memories! Princeton Park will never be the same as it was back in the 70's- 80's. As they lay you to rest, may God give your love ones a peace that passes all understanding and comfort for their hearts. Knowing that God has a plan for us all. May they remember the smiles, laughter and good times that was shared with you. Rest in Peace Larry, ❤️ Naomi
Oh my God where do I start!!! My Princeton Park Family!! I am praying for the Greer family and hoping the pain and sting of this untimely death of Larry also brings family together with loving memories and warm thoughts of a life well lived. I remember me and Naomi would hang out at the Greer household with Larry, Tony and their friends and that bull dog(Winston) watching football, basketball or whatever sport was on that day!!! Ms. Greer would come home sit and talk with us for a minute before she started talking with ol' JJ!!!!!! Larry would always walk me and Naomi home after we hung out down there!!! I'm so glad to have grown up in Princeton Park and been a part of a great bunch of folks!!!! I know he can't read this, but Larry, we love you and will miss you my friend. May God keep you safe in His loving arms. I pray for you the family for peace and comfort as you say farewell to your loved one. I light a candle in memory of our friend, Lawrence Greer, Jr. May his soul rest in peace with our Father. Amen.
