Wayne and I have been friends since 6th grade at James McCosh Elementary School. Over the next 50 plus years we became close and best friends. We spent countless hours with Mark Green and Cardell Strong playing late night basketball, enjoying bid whist with Yvette Bell and Nathan Schaffer and worked during high school at Chicago Public Library. As the years progressed and we had families and moved further apart we would enjoy our Saturday and Thursday night bowling where afterwards we would caught up with each others life happenings. It was with such a dear friend you could confide in and seek advice. Wayne you will always be with me. Love you.

I met Wayne Freshman year 1967 at Englewood High School. In our French class when the bell rang and the teacher wasn’t there yet. We heard a lot of running to our room. Three boys came running in the room and ran to the back of the room. Two of them, I found out were Wayne Carter and Mark Green. Cardell Strong dropped to the floor and all three were laughing while Wayne and Mark play beat him up.
To family and friends my deepest sympathies to you for the loss of your love one. It is comforting to know that the Bible at John 5:28,29 and Isaiah 26:19 promise that our loved ones who have died can live again by means of the Resurrection.
