Alfred Agustus Samuels, son of Imogene Samuels Malcom and Isiah Samuels, was born in New Works Westmoreland, Jamaica. Alfred transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on September 19, 2025, at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital surrounded by loved ones.
He came to Pennsylvania many years ago after becoming an adult and became a United States citizen. He worked for Harrisburg Housing Authority for 41 years. While visiting back home recently he was baptized. Alfred enjoyed spending time with family, going out to restaurants, watching TV & had loved to travel.
Alfred was preceded in death by his father, Isiah Samuels and his stepson, Ryan. He leaves to cherish memories of him, his companion of 25 years, Brenda Erlston; his two sisters; two brothers; ten children; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two stepsons, Patrick and Jeremy; five step-grandchildren, Loyalty, Lynasia, Jaden, Jonathan and Aloni.
His life will be celebrated at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 in the Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton with viewing and visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

My Condolences to the Family and Brenda, I met Alfred when I started working part-time in 1997 for the Harrisburg Housing Authority until I Resigned in June of 2010, he was a very hard worker and I'm just finding out today October 19,2025 that he passed away,Rest In Peace my Friend and again my deepest condolences to the Family in Jesus Christ name 🙏 Amen
