She retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry with over 30 years of employment. Amery was delivered from drugs and alcohol for over 35 years and for many years she served as a mentor at the Daystar Drug and Alcohol Rehab Center in Harrisburg.

🙏🏾 for serenity for Family and friends of Chaplain Amery Louise Weaver. We shared tales of addiction while she tried her best to help others through their own addiction. Amery has written thousands of poems and even wrote a book as she worked her mission in life - helping other people. I will miss our conversations and her daily dose of humor. RIP Miss Weezie
