BARBARA LEE BALTIMORE, 84, was born to the late Lily (Jones) Jackson and the late John Westley Jackson in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
She was a graduate of the former William Penn Senior High School. She was gainfully employed as a Home Health Care provider and a Metapelet/Domestic Caregiver until she retired in 2012.
Mother Barbara Baltimore was an active member of Lingo Memorial Church Of God In Christ for decades and served many years as the President of the Pastors Aide Board under the Leadership of the late Bishop Benjamin J. Ravenel, Sr. She was a member of several auxiliaries, the Usher Board, Sewing Circle, Flower Guild where members honored the church mothers with corsages on special occasions and enjoyed working in the kitchen with friends and family for the Annual Usher Tea banquets. She had her very own personal ministry inside and outside of church, distributing quarterly “Our Daily Bread” pamphlets.
On Monday January 15, 2024 at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Mother Barbara Baltimore peacefully transitioned from this earthly life into eternal life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Baltimore; her son, Richard Kevin; her siblings, Mable Duhart, Myrtle Scott, John and Louise; her great grandsons, Na’Zae and Hassan Baltimore; her great granddaughters, Sharda’nae Wilkerson and Maurche’ Baltimore Easter. Left to cherish her unforgettable and momentous memories of her are her children; Charles (Aileen) Baltimore, Michael (Tracy) Baltimore, Joyce Baltimore, Brian (Tonya) Baltimore, Steven (Toyia) Baltimore; her siblings, Linda (Mac) McClendon and David (Betty) Jackson; her 33 grandchildren, her great grandchildren, her great great grandchildren; her brothers in law, Robert Scott and Ronald (Shirley) Yates; her sister in law, Shirley Carter; her bonus family Milspaws; her bonus-son, Mike Brown; her bonus-daughter, Patricia Warren; her goddaughters, Sara Dennis and Connie Hume; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mother Barbara's life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 in the Sanctuary of her church, Lingo Memorial Church Of God In Christ, 2747 Reel St., Harrisburg with viewing and visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery.
