Carlos Juan Muniz, Jr., the son of Ana Mercedes Caraballo Muniz and to the late Carlos Juan Muniz, Sr. was born in Carlisle Pennsylvania. He received his formal education from Bermudian Springs High School in York Spring, PA and graduated in 1979. He went on to serve in the United States Air Force. He also studied HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical. He was always there for anyone needing help in any way he could. His infectious smile left you knowing you were loved.
On Friday, October 20, 2022 Carlos Juan Muniz, Jr. ascended into eternal rest. His positive and caring spirit leaves behind a legacy of inspiration that drives those who knew him to go above and beyond the call of duty to know that he loved you like no other.
Carlos Muniz, Jr. was the oldest of six siblings. As a child he grew up in a very close knit family bonded together by love and strong work ethic. While he attended High School he excelled in his love for Football and Wrestling. In School he was a big guy with a huge smile earning him the nickname of "Moose". He was an easy man to love even back then.
Carlos was preceded in transitioning to eternal life by his sons, Christopher Carlos Muniz and Joseph Anthony Muniz; his father, Carlos Juan Muniz, Sr.; his grandmother, Isabel Negron and grandparents from Ponce, Puerto Rico, Erasmo and Maria Muniz. He leaves to celebrate his life and legacy and to cherish precious memories of him, his mother, Ana Mercedes Muniz; his first love of his life, Joyce Ann Muniz whom they shared a beautiful daughter, Shea Alana Muniz and sons, Christopher and Joseph. Also a surviving daughter, Shawnta Hill; his loving siblings, Victor Muniz and Mayme Kishbaugh, Sara Muniz, Mary and husband Julio Torres, William Muniz and Debra Muniz and half brother Carlos Koser; his companion, Brenda Nguyen and a host of loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives all of whom he loved and cherished.
His life will be celebrated on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, 704 N. Front Street, Steelton, with visitation 11:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
Ministry of Comfort entrusted to the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home Corp. COVID-19 guidelines will be observed with face masks for all attendees.
