Obituary For David Dornell
David Dornell, son of the late James M. Dornell and Ruth E. Shepherd Dornell, was born in Steelton, Pennsylvania.
He attended Hygienic Public School. David is remembered for his warm smile. He enjoyed the company of friends in comfortable and peaceful environments. David liked to relax by listening to soothing music. In true Dornell fashion, he loved good food. His favorite was tapioca pudding made by his mother, which delighted her to no end.
On May 16, 2026, at the age of 78 years, David passed away peacefully at his residence in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Edwin W. Dornell, James M. Dornell, Jr. and Florence A. Rowe.
David is survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins and the staff of Keystone Human Services. He will be truly missed.
His life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026 in the Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton with viewing and visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery.
