DONALD CHARLES HARVEY was born in Oklahoma to his proud mother, the late Carolyn Brisco Harvey, his father of the heart, Kermit Briscoe and his beautiful grandmother, the late Evangelist Ethel Briscoe. Donald was affectionately known as Donny, Don, CeCe, Money and Pop Pop.
Don was united in marriage with Mim Roberts in Steelton, Pennsylvania at the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church by the late Rev. Scott A. White, Sr.
He was educated in the Norristown Area School District in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. He was employed by The House of Representatives until he ventured out to be an entrepreneur, owning 3 Subway Restaurants. Later, he drove as an independent contractor.
Don joined St. Paul AME Church in Oberlin, Pennsylvania under the leadership of his wife, Rev. R. Mim Roberts Harvey. Where he was a faithful member until his failing health. He loved to play chess, being with his grandchildren, driving, old school music, the casino and being with his dog, Angel.
On February 8, 2025, Donald Charles Harvey, at the age of 74 years transitioned from this earthly life into eternal life at the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Don is survived by his wife, Rev Mim Harvey; two sons, Dr. Sterling A White (Dr. Dwana) of Chesapeake, VA and Torrey White of Mt. Poconos, PA; one daughter, Mia N. White of Bressler, PA; 10 grandchildren, Tara, Torrey, Toria, Kobe, Haylee, Sterling III, Jacob, Joshua, Michael and Marissa; great grandchildren, Michael, Monroe, Mason, Marlee, Noah, Brook, Teddy, Iyla, Gianna and Mylah; father of the heart, Kermit Briscoe; special nephews, Gary “Gman” Williams, Troy Roberts and Michael Roberts; three adopted children of the heart, Ruth, Tory and Vern; special cousins, Shelly, Joyce and Ethel Marie; two best friends, Troy Tate and George Luckett and a host of other relatives and friends.
His life will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 in the Sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Steelton, 1850 S. 19th Street, Harrisburg with viewing and visitation from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
