Her career began with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, at the Department of Labor and Industry, where she was an accountant, retiring with 36 years of service.
Pauline as she was affectionately called by family and church family was a wiz with numbers, which led to her being the Financial Secretary, for numerous years, at The First Baptist Church of Steelton, where she was a lifetime member. Pauline took that job very seriously, often staying after services to make sure everything was in order. She was a faithful member of The First Baptist Church Choir, which she enjoyed immensely. She often was seen humming and singing songs to herself. She also served as a Trustee and received numerous awards for becoming a Sunday School Teacher and participated every year with Vacation Bible School. She truly loved her church and all the people therein.
In her leisure, she enjoyed knitting, crossword puzzles and watching news events and cartoons. Pauline also enjoyed traveling. She traveled to Africa, England, Germany, and France with the senior citizens club at The First Baptist Church. She also gave numerous donations to many charities domestic and foreign.

Edna or Pauline worked together at Labor and Industry and she was very quiet, but she was also very supportive. She was a good friend of my Aunt Esther Davis and they loved singing in the choir at First Baptist Church of Steelton. Rest in peace
I worked with Edna in the UC Referee's Office, Labor and Industry Building. Very nice and quiet woman. May you rest in heavenly peace.

Sending you all my deepest condolences on the passing of Pauline. I met her when I built the house right beside of Mrs Irene. When she would come down to visit her mom, she would often come over to visit with me. She was a wonderful person. May God give you all strength during this difficult time.
