Ethel L. Williams, 90, of Harrisburg, peacefully transitioned into eternal life on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
She was born in Martinsburg, WV, daughter of the late George and Mary Myers, was a graduate of the former William Penn High School, continued her education at Penn State University and retired from Harrisburg School District and IBM Corp. Ethel was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served as the Church Mother, the Historian, the Church Clerk, as a Sunday School Teacher, with the Youth, Vacation Bible School and Care and Comfort Ministries. She is the widow of John Edward Williams and leaves to celebrate her life; her three children, John Williams, Jr., Mary Walker and Robert Williams; her sister, Imogene Key; her seven grandchildren, Andrea, Steven, Joshua, Lawrence, Renea, Vanessa, Zach and Robert II; her three great-grandchildren, Akia, Devon and Lailyn and a host of extended family and friends.
Ethel's life will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 12 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary of her Church, 2730 Booser Ave., Harrisburg, with viewing at 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Wednesday, July 13 at 10:30 a.m.
COVID-19 Guidelines will be observed with face masks for all attendees.
