Obituary For Gregory Edwards

Gregory W. Edwards was born in Bronx, New York to the late Violet Anderson and the late William Edwards. He relocated with his mother and siblings to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 1962.

He graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School in 1976 and began his career as an iron worker for Local 404. He was proud to be a Union worker and retired from there with 40 years of service.

In his spare time, Greg enjoyed cooking, traveling, rock climbing and shopping for new cars. He was known to try a variety of foods and nothing was too exotic for him. He was very routine and enjoyed pampering himself with visits to the barbershop or to get his pedicure, frequently.

On June 12, 2026, Gregory departed this life 4 days after his 68th birthday. He was preceded in death by his father, William Edwards and his mother Violet Anderson.

Greg leaves to cherish memories of him, his devoted wife, Lisa Edwards; his brother, Clifford Delaney; his sisters, Lisa Coca, Iris Anderson and Danielle Morgan; his nieces, Briadi, Celia, Diamond and Taylor; his nephews, Clifford, Jr. and Ronnel; his devoted friends, Art and Tony; along with other friends and coworkers.

His life will be celebrated at 12 Noon on Monday, June 22, 2026 in the Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton with a visitation from 11:30 a.m. until 12 Noon.
